Barrage in FoW
So yesterday, I was trying to get into FoW as America has gotten favor rather early for a weekday thanks to iA. And believe it or not, it seems none of the FoW groups want a ranger They seemed to be filled with 2 monks, a tank, a nuker or 2, some SS thrown around, and an occasional mm.
Tired of this, I decided to start a barrage group. There was lots of dissagreement between rangers who played tombs for the past 3 months and pressed Barrage every other second, and the rangers that actually been into FoW.
In Tombs, it's usually 5 rangers with pets, an orders nec, a mm, and a monk. Not really all that complicated.
In FoW, I don't know how efficient running the above build is. But after some discussion a group build was achieved..
A stance tank with stuff like gladiator's defense/watch yourself/whatever.
Echo Nuker
SS Necro
Monk
4 Barragers
Both runs I did SS nec/echo nuker left somewhere along the way...with a monk, a warrior, and 4 rangers we managed to go from the beginning to the forgemaster to craft our armor. Although clearing out the temple took a lot longer than necesary as we relied on random interrupts to stop the monks from healing.
I'm asking all those with the FoW experience to post what they think would work in FoW in regards to using Barrage Rangers. Thanks.

Smiting Barragers work great in FoW.
Judges Insite + Barrage obliterates the Skeleton Plains section.
I've made a couple of teams myself for reasons like yourself that noone wants to take a ranger.
In our team we had 3 JI Barrage Rangers, 1 Stance Tank, 1 Healer, 1 Bonder, SS Necro, Domination Mesmer/Echo Nuker.
Both times we did all the way to the Forgemaster with no problems at all, I don't remember anyone dying tbh.

Ditto Judges+ Barrage is a killer I did this with (6) 4 Rangers 1 Monk 1 Warrior if everyone is set with interrups and right spirits you should have a good time and plenty of shards to go around.

When you get into the temple, you just let the echo nuker do his/her thing, right? Cause 4 rangers didn't seem to be able to pump out enough damage to deal with 2 monks. Especially since if we missed a Heal Area everyone's back up to near full health.

Not being able to kill monks? You're Rangers for Melandru's sake! Use an interrupt like concussion shot. Daze both monks and it's easy street with four rangers pounding out a barrage.
Though I don't normally carry concussion as I like distracting a lot.

Well, finally crafted the last of my armor yesterday with a very nice guild group.
2 JI Barragers
2 Ele Nukers
1 SS Nec
1 Stance Tank
1 Healer
1 Barrier/Bonder
Ran into no difficulties and the only time that someone died was when someone else started a quest too early and caught every off guard inside the temple =\

Most groups i go into FoW with are he standard tombs build.
5 barragers
2 necros (mm and order)
1 monk
Cleared it out several times so it definetly works just aswell as it does in tombs. But as other said Judges insight is incredibly awesome in FoW.

Thats all you need. Stance Tanks are useless, Echo Nukers just mean you really must suck at dealing damage yourself. If your so desperate for a knockdown, get 1 of the rangers or necros to go /E and bring a NO FIRE MAGIC Meteor Shower (you don't want them wasting stats on somet that isnt even suppsoe to deal damage).
Judges Insight is a killer vs Skeletons, huge chunks of there health bars dissapear every barrage with JI on. Still need to beat my record of 253 vs an Icehand.

Usually in european servers I can find a barrage/pet group rather quickly as it's sorta popular there. It's pretty much the same setup you would take to tombs and works just as good.

Back on topic, I guess barrage groups have gotten more popular lately, haven't checked, america doesn't seem to have favor whenever I'm not busy >_>
